Vizag Solo Trip

Vizag is a perfect destination for your trip if you love the serene beaches and hills. Vizag is surrounded by Hills on one side and sea on the other. Making a budget solo trip to Vizag is not a big deal. Here, I will tell you how to plan the Vizag trip on a Limited budget.

1. Transport:

You may be from different parts of the country. So I will consider your journey from either Visakhapatnam (Vizag) railway station or Vizag RTC Bus complex. Trains to Visakhaptnam railway station are available from major railway station of the country. If you want to reach vizag by bus, you can do so either. You can take various state run government buses to vizag such as OSRTC/KSRTC/TSRTC/TNSTC etc. These interstate buses will drop you at the main bus stand of Vizag i.e. RTC bus complex. RTC bus complex is just 1.5 km distance away from the railway station. If you want to reach RTC Bus Complex from Vizag railway station, just take an Auto-Rickshaw ride. It will just cost you around INR 10 per person. Auto Rickshaws will always be available.

Day 1: Araku Valley Trip

Andra Pradesh tourism development corporation (APTDC) provides tour package to Araku Valley for 1D.
It would be best for you if you take this tour package. It includes breakfast, Lunch and Tea break in the evening. Check APTDC website for detailed information.

Day 2: Local Sightseeing around Vizag

You can take the tour package provided by APTDC for local sightseeing for 1D also. This will almost cover 7 to 8 places.

Day 3: If you have one extra day

You can visit the places that are not included in the tour package. You can spend the day by visiting malls in the morning. And you can go to RK beach in the evening. It would be best if you visit RK beach in the evening. APSRTC buses are available to the RK beach from bus stand. Just ask a local/Conductor of a bus standing there to take which bus to RK Beach.

2. Accommodation:

If you are travelling solo and are on a tight budget then you can live in a dormitory (Boys Hostel). They are the best for backpackers. They will charge you INR 150 per person per day. Just search on Google map "Dormitories near me," You can find many of them. If you can afford more, you can stay in a lodge or Hotel.

3. Food:

Food will cost you around 150 to 200 INR per day. Please make sure you have Bamboo Chicken in your Araku trip. Many street vendors are available near Tribal Museum and on your way.

Have a nice trip and Keep travelling.
